For decades, Russian oligarchs have been using the United Kingdom as one of the bases for successfully hiding their "dirty money".
The tightening of sanctions following Russia's invasion of Ukraine and the introduction of stricter anti-money laundering laws in 2022 is forcing Russian oligarchs and business people to seek new, more sophisticated schemes to hide assets, exploiting loopholes in British law.
Three international compliance and risk management experts will gather at a roundtable to analyse this problem and find solutions to keep global markets and businesses safe.

Main topics:

Loopholes in the UK laws allow criminals to hide information about ultimate beneficiaries from Russia.

Updating the Economic Crime Bill will force counterparties to show the company's overall structure.

Geneva Freeport and the UK art market as a "twilight zone" for money laundering.

UK "golden visas" as a threat to national security and a disguise for dirty money.

Using open data to identify toxic connections. Exciting and handy cases from the experts' practice.
